I’m a software engineer and Alojamento Local host based in Madeira, Portugal.
After managing my own Airbnb property remotely, I realised that most of the real complexity isn’t operations — it’s compliance.
SIBA submissions, INE reporting, tourist tax, and Finanças obligations are still highly manual, confusing, and time-consuming for most hosts.
To solve this, I built EazyAL — a lightweight tool designed specifically for hosts in Portugal to simplify compliance without needing a full property management system.
