How to Prepare Vrbo for an EazyAL Connection
EazyAL does not currently offer Vrbo in its Booking connections page. This guide explains how to prepare your Vrbo account and what the connection process will involve when EazyAL supports it.
Before changing your calendar setup
Keep your existing calendar connection running until your Vrbo cutover is ready. Removing it too early could leave availability out of sync.
Check whether your Vrbo account is still connected to another property management system or channel manager through an API connection. If it is, ask Vrbo support to disconnect the previous provider and return the account to a standard account with payments handled by Vrbo. Coordinate the timing with your current provider so bookings continue to be managed during the change.
Also review any iCal imports in Vrbo, including calendars from Airbnb or a previous PMS. These can conflict with availability sent by Channex. Remove conflicting imports as part of the planned cutover, once the new connection is ready.
How the Vrbo connection will work
When Vrbo setup becomes available for your EazyAL property, the channel will be configured in Channex:
Create a Vrbo channel and select the correct group and EazyAL property.
Enter the Vrbo account username and password in the secure Channex connection form.
Select Authenticate. If Vrbo requests an SMS verification code, the account owner completes that step.
Select Test Connection and confirm that the Vrbo listings appear.
Map each listing to the correct property room and rate.
Activate the channel after checking the mapping.
After activation, compare several future dates, prices and stay rules in both systems. Confirm that new, changed and cancelled bookings reach EazyAL before treating the setup as complete.
What the Channex Vrbo connector covers
Channex lists availability, rates, restrictions and booking updates as supported for Vrbo. It does not list messages or reviews as supported, so continue handling those in Vrbo. A Vrbo password change may also disconnect the channel and require authentication again.
